OK. So, I thought I knew everything there was to know about campfires. On account of I’ve been studying on it for a couple weeks, so I would look good when our patrol went camping to practice up on survival skills. Heh, heh, heh...Only there's a lot more to it than I figured. But with all the help we got (hey, it was our first time) everything turned out OK. Except for a few mistakes that happened with the cooking, and running out of matches. But we did such a good job on the second day, I got invited to share what I learned over on the feature page at WKC (which will way help me out on my captain skills). So, I hope all you Wilderness Protectors will head on over there and look in on things and tell me how I'm doing.
Besides that, I'm gonna be sharing all the cool fire tips we learned from a real wilderness expert. Which you just might want to know sometime if you get in any scrapes when you're out camping. Like dropping your matches in the water. Anyway, I hope somebody comes.
Seriously.
W.K.
